The Beginning

How The Legacy Began

Despite having lived in a Sea port town in Cuba, the lure of the seas didn’t strike Neil Eric Gonzalez until the age of 45 after migrating New York City. As soon as the spark was ignited, he dove in head first and was enthralled by everything boating and fishing. With very little time in the United States and knowing very little English, as was his custom, he dedicated himself to learning everything possible and enrolled himself in intensive classes through the Power Squadron.  Once he had met this goal, he promised himself his first boat.

Fishing was his passion and the name of his first boat fit accordingly, “Anema Core”, my heart and soul.  A total of 9 different boats came after that; “The Cutty Sark,” and then the Nena I to VII named after his one true love, his wife “Nena.” There was always space on his boat for anyone who wanted to ride along, whether it be friends or a member of his large family, of 2 kids, and 6 grandchildren. His Legacy continues to live on today. Via our family, who has since grown to include 2 great-grandchildren, we are able to share his love of the ocean and continue to build on what he once began.

The Vessel

The 391 Meridian is an upscale sedan style motor yacht with beautiful appointments and a practical, yet stylish layout. Two stateroom/ two head layout gives her great cruising comfort for couples, friends or an entire family.  The Legacy is well maintained, well equipped and ready for new cruising adventures.   Designed with performance much like a sports car and practicality of a minivan, the Legacy provides generous space, comfort and luxury inside and out. Whether you’re enjoying an intimate cruise on the South Florida Ocean, spending time with family, or partying with friends, entertaining aboard the Legacy comes easily and naturally.   Upon entering from the comfortable cockpit, the spacious salon has an L-shaped sofa to starboard that converts to a queen sleeper in addition to other expansive seating arrangements. Forward in the salon is a raised dinette to starboard and a mid-level galley to port.  The galley has convection microwave, refrigerator/freezer, two-burner cooktop, solid surface counters and abundant storage.  Down the companionway is the master stateroom to starboard with head and guest stateroom forward with ensuite head.  Both staterooms have large comfortable berths, cedar lined hanging lockers, drawers and cabinet storage, flat screen TV and DVD.  The spacious fly bridge and cockpit area as well as forward sun cushions are great for relaxing and tanning in the tropical Florida sun.
